A man has died after being struck by a train near Perth.

The man was on the track at Bensons Park about 6.30pm on Sunday.
“It’s just a bit of an accident.
He was walking along the platform and just struck the platform rail, but the train was going quite fast,” Assistant Commissioner Michael O’Connor said.”
We’re still waiting to get the full extent of what happened.”
A 24 year old man was taken by ambulance to the WA Ambulance Station, where he died at 7.50pm on Monday.
A 23-year old man from Western Australia has been arrested.
Police say they have no further information about the incident.
